Was this a special occasion or was he making a casual invitation into something more than it was? If he was wrong about Garak's intentions, then surely Garak would notice. Garak noticed everything. Julian still cringed when he remembered the amused looks in everyone's eyes when he had bounded into ops announcing that he had just met 'the spy' and mused over what could Garak want from him. He didn't want to appear too eager again. He wanted instead to give the impression of being older, wiser and more worldly. More like his spy alter ego in the holosuite programs he had Felix design. He wanted to be ready for any situation, and sure of himself. He considered the tunic and trousers again, musing over whether they were quite the statement he wanted to make. a glance at the chronometer decided for him. He was wasting too much time on foolish meandering thoughts that he would be embarrassed to admit he was having. He dressed, checked to be certain that all fasteners were properly fastened, combed his hair again, and attended to a few last minute details, then he left on his way to Garak's quarters. ~end of Olivia Monteith part~ |
